More about me
BEING Founder and therapist Sonja found Bowen amidst her own health crisis. Such was the impact of her first session that she changed from her corporate career to get this on the map for anyone seeking a new solution to positively impact their health. She has a special interest in Women’s health and young children. Learn more about her story here
What can it treat?
Pain in your body -head, shoulders knees.. and toes (and everything in between), injuries, alignment, stress, hormonal issues including fertility, bedwetting / toileting issues in children and much more. Find out more on What Bowen Therapy can treat here
What to expect
Sessions typically last for 1 hour. The moves are gentle and purposeful and can be done through light clothing if you prefer. You lie on a massage table, or can be seated in a chair if required for comfort. Find out more on what a session involves and the unique aftercare here
How does it work
This form of therapy uses precise and gentle, rolling hand movements. These focus on the muscles, tendons, and ligaments, along with the fascia and skin around them. The idea is to reduce pain by stimulating the nervous system. Find out more here
